How to Pair an Electric Fire Remote
Pairing / Re-Pairing:
NOTE: if a remote control has previously been paired with the fire, it will be necessary to first reset the appliance to factory settings. This is done by using the small pin that came with the remote to insert into the recessed button on the fire itself - depress the button for 3-5 seconds (until indicator lights flash on the fire itself - top right-hand corner).
The 'Reset' button is just above the main buttons on the fire control panel.
Once reset is complete (if necessary), follow one of the following methods to re-pair the remote. (Make sure the battery is operating correctly first. Remote flashes red light slowly = battery low / Remote flashes red light quickly = battery ok)
Pairing Option A - Socket Unplug Method
1. Unplug the fire for 30s to fully discharge the appliance.
2. Then plug in & switch on at the socket. A yellow light immediately appears on the fire.
3. As soon as the yellow light appears, you have 7 seconds pairing window.
4. As soon as the yellow light appears on the fire, tap red power button on the remote several times to pair.
5. Pairing is complete when the fire reacts to your commands on the remote e.g. turning on/off with the power button on the remote.
Pairing Option B - Appliance Button Method
1. Plug in the fire, switch on at the socket and turn the fire on with the power button on the appliance (make sure the flame picture is up and running).
2. When fire is on and working, press & hold the red Power Button on the appliance itself for 3-4 seconds, until a yellow light appears on the fire.
3. As soon as the yellow light appears, you have 7 seconds pairing window.
4. As soon as the yellow light appears on the fire, tap red power button on the remote several times to pair.
5. Pairing is complete when the fire reacts to your commands on the remote e.g. turning on/off with the power button on the remote.
