The “ticking” of a stove is a material expansion noise.
The speed of the ticking is linked to the Burn Rate. so if the fuel is burning fast, just after re-fuelling, then the ticking will be fast.
A slower Burn Rate will be slower and is normally quieter.
These are extremely difficult to locate and will occur, to varying degrees of noise volume and annoyance, on all wood burning appliances.
There are a few things to try to locate the offending component.
Double check the sound location, is it definitely coming from within the appliance and not the flue pipe?
You could also try one firing without the baffle to see if the welds on the Baffle are the culprit.
Check the tightness of the screws on the Turbo Bar and/or Riddling Support Bar, either loosening them to distance the Bars from the body or tightening them if loose.
